Best Order to Visit Harry Potter at Universal Orlando
If it’s your first time visiting the Universal Harry Potter locations, you may want to see it all the way Harry did. Those interested in the route of Harry Potter based on the books and films may want to visit the parks in the following order:
- Islands of Adventure to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Hogsmeade where you can visit the Hogwarts castle. This land also has Hogsmeade Village shops, like Honeyduke’s and Ollivanders Wand Shop, and the Three Broomsticks restaurant. Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure are connected by the Hogwarts Express train which requires a Park-to-Park Universal ticket to ride.
- Universal Studios Florida to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley where the infamous Gringotts Wizarding Bank is. You can also visit the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes shop, the Knockturn Alley dark wizarding area and eat at The Leaky Cauldron here.
- Epic Universe has The Wizarding World of HarryPotter – Ministry of Magic explores 1920s Paris and the 1990s British Ministry of Magic. While there are new shops and restaurants to explore here, fans will recognize the Le Cirque Arcanus show from the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald film.
Technically Harry goes to Diagon Alley to get his school supplies before attending Hogwarts so either order works for those parks. The adventure in Gringotts seems to take place after the one in Hogwarts. Many will want to enjoy Hogwarts first which is in the original Harry Potter theme park land.
