Two Holiday Treats You Can’t Miss This Season at Disney!

Two Holiday Treats You Can’t Miss This Season at Disney!

The holidays have officially arrived at Walt Disney World, and I’m here for all the cozy, festive snacks that come with them. Whether you’re a coffee lover or someone who believes breakfast should include frosting, there are two new treats that absolutely deserve a spot on your must-try list this season.

Let’s head first to Disney Springs for a holiday coffee moment and then over to EPCOT’s Norway pavilion for something warm, citrusy, and sweet.

Peppermint Affogato at Vivoli il Gelato (Disney Springs)

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know how much I love coffee. Espresso, cappuccino, cold brew, you name it, I’m there. So when I heard about a Peppermint Affogato being served at Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs, I knew I had to check it out.

This treat combines creamy vanilla gelato with crushed peppermint candy and a shot of freshly brewed espresso poured right on top. The heat of the espresso melts the gelato just enough to turn it into a sweet, pepperminty coffee float. It’s equal parts dessert and caffeine boost, and it tastes exactly like the holidays should.

You’ll find Vivoli il Gelato in The Landing, right across from The BOATHOUSE. The shop itself has real Italian roots, brought to Orlando by Nick Valenti, the same restaurateur behind Via Napoli and Tutto Italia at EPCOT.

The Peppermint Affogato costs $11 and can be ordered “for here” if you want to enjoy it in one of their ceramic mugs. There’s no indoor seating, but there are plenty of outdoor tables nearby where you can soak in all the holiday atmosphere. Between the peppermint, the espresso, and the buzz of Disney Springs in full seasonal swing, it’s one of my favorite new finds this year.

Orange Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll at EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion

Now let’s talk about the treat that had me absolutely swooning: the Orange Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion.

When I say this cinnamon roll is incredible, I mean it. It came straight out of the oven, warm and golden, and then the cast member added a huge scoop of orange cream cheese frosting on top, like an ice cream scoop-sized dollop. The smell alone stopped me in my tracks. It’s sugar, it’s citrus, it’s comfort.

You can see the bits of orange zest right in the frosting, and the flavor is as good as it sounds, sweet, tangy, and perfectly balanced. The cinnamon roll itself is soft and buttery on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s priced at $7.49, and it’s big enough to share, though I’m not saying you’ll want to.

I always tell people Kringla Bakeri is an underrated gem. Everything I’ve ever had there has been delicious, and this new cinnamon roll only reinforces that. As soon as I took my first bite, I said it out loud: “This is absolutely 100% a must-do.” It’s one of those rare snacks that works as breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon pick-me-up.

For comparison, I mentioned in my video that this roll is nothing like the cinnamon rolls at Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom. Those tend to be dry, even when they’re toasted. This one is everything a cinnamon roll should be: soft, warm, fresh, and flavorful.

The cast member will ask if you’d like the orange cream cheese frosting, and the correct answer is yes. Always yes. Even if you think you might not love orange, trust me, you’ll want it.

I ended up needing a to-go box because it’s that big, and yes, I did share the rest with my husband, Brian. I promise.

A New Holiday Tradition

Both of these treats, the Peppermint Affogato at Disney Springs and the Orange Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll at EPCOT, made me stop for a moment and just enjoy where I was. That’s what I love about Disney snacks. They’re not just about flavor, they’re about memory.

The affogato brings all the cozy caffeine energy you need for holiday shopping, and the cinnamon roll is the kind of warm, happy comfort that makes you wish you could bottle the feeling of EPCOT in December.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World this holiday season, add these two stops to your list. One sip, one bite, and you’ll know why they’ve become my must-try picks for the year.
